Retail Shopping Cart Wheels and Casters

The majority of all retail shopping carts use a 5" wheel with a 1 1/4" tread width and are 1 1/2" wide at the axle bore. The standard and most popular tread design is the Poly (polyurethane) tread wheel, which is non-marking, resists most chemicals and offers a longer life than other wheels when subjected to concrete, asphalt and other flooring systems that retail carts must endure. The TPE (thermal plastic elastomer) tread wheels have a softer non-marking tread that offers more floor protection and a quieter ride. Both tread types are rated up to 250 pounds per wheel and use the same sealed precision plus bearing system for years of smooth easy rolling. Our replacement wheels and caster use a hex head axle bolt and lock nut for easy field replacement. A few of the smallest sizes of shopping carts may use a 4" wheel so please measure your current wheels if you are unsure.
